When sampling refrigeration and compressor oils, it is important that the lubricant is exposed to the air for as little time as possible since some of these lubricants are hygroscopic and can absorb uncondensed water vapor directly from humid air. The KP and KST Series valves as well as the 316 stainless steel versions are the ideal product for compressors and refrigerate fluids. For restricted access and confided spaces look at installing the sampling valve using a remote access installation to position the sampling valve in a more convenient location while still drawing the sample from the desired port.
